What does it entail?

INSTrUCT incorporates innovative pedagogies and methods that support students and educators in the teaching-learning process. It is composed of open digital learning content:

  • 5 Modules
  • 3 Videos
  • 3 Virtual Simulated cases
  • This can be easily introduced into university curricula in Degrees in Health Sciences (medicine, nursing, pharmacy, etc.).

To complete the OER, it is recommended that students dedicate between 25 and 30 hours, of which 5 will be for reading the theoretical content and viewing videos, 1-2 hours for the virtual simulation, 15 -27 hours for personal study and 2 hours for evaluation.

    Contents

Module 1: Tobacco as a public health problem.

Module 2: General concepts, tobacco products and assessment of use.

Module 3: Tobacco use management in healthcare settings.

    Module 4: Brief intervention.

Module 5: Psychological and pharmacological treatment.

    The goal

INSTrUCT aims to be a useful resource available to all Health Science Degrees across Europe, and it tackles tobacco consumption by introducing it as multi-disciplinary educational content required for healthcare professions before graduation.
